3D Christmas Services: Gimmicky or Culturally Relevant?

Fellowship Church in Dallas and Church by the Glades in Coral Springs, FL did Christmas services in 3D this year. Is 3D a great new way to reach people and tell the Christmas story or just another gimmick?

3D Movies are Here, 3D TV on the Way, Can the 3D Web be Far Behind?

In 2009 we saw an explosion in 3D movies with at least 17 3D movies released. cnet is reporting that this spring TV manufactures will begin shipping 3D TVs. Can 3D computer monitors be far off?

4 Things that Need to Happen for the Web to Go 3D

Some people believe that in the next 10-20 years the entire web will go from the 2D space it is now to 3D and eventually everything online will be experienced as a 3D space. That seem at least plausible. After all 20 years ago nobody was on the web, and now just about every organization views a website as essential. But in order for the web to transition from 2D to 3D, I think at least 4 things will need to happen.

Which best describes your organization's approach to assessing the value/ROI of social media?

We diligently track the source of all sales/goals so we know what social media is producing.
We look at trends. If our use of social media correlates with an increase in our sales/goals that indicates it's value.
You can't put a dollar value on relationships and so we don't try to assess the value/ROI of social media.
We're doing some tracking of the source of sales/goals, so we have some numbers, but we also recognize there's more to the value of social media than those numbers.
We're experimenting with social media now. We'll tackle the value/ROI issue once we get a better idea of what we're doing.
