Tonight (Tues 3/11) at 9 PM Eastern, I’ll be leading the weekly #ChSocM church social media twitter chat.
Topic: Where Church, Search & Social Collide – Local Reviews
Over the 2+ year’s I’ve been participating in #ChSocM chats we’ve discussed lots of different social media platforms – Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Pintrest, Instagram and more. But tonight, for the first time ever, we’re going to discuss how churches can engage with local review sites like
- Google+ Local
- Bing Places (Bing Maps)
- Yahoo Local Listings
- Yelp
- Superpages
These sites are search engines where people look for local organizations (including churches) and they also have a social component to them because people can post ratings and reviews.
Tonight we’ll discuss:
- The benefits of engaging in local review sites
- The downside of ignoring local review sites
- The dos and don’ts of engaging in local review sites
- And more!
