Thanks to everyone who took a few minutes to give us some feedback and suggestions through the 2013 Christian Web Trends Reader Survey.
While there’s a lot to be gleaned from the responses to each individual question, there is one big theme that I picked up on when reviewing the data.
The Big Insight
Some of you like to read about tech & communications for fun, want to be up on the latest news and be Internet experts. However, most of you just want to know what you need to know now to be effective online. Those in the latter group want:
- Less theory and more practical application.
- Less ”here’s what’s new” and more “here’s what’s working.”
- Not “100 things you can do better,” but “The 3 things that will make the biggest difference”
- Not more, but more effective.
We want to honor that and help you be more effective.
We will still occasionally write about what’s new and where we see ministry and Internet technology trending, but more than anything we want to focus on helping you focus on what going to be the most effective use of your limited time and resources.
$50 Gift Card Winner
Congrats to Bryan Kebeck of P.G. Builders and Potomac Services & Roofing Systems, who won the drawing for the $50 Visa Gift Card!
And thanks again to everyone who provided feedback and suggestions. Our mission is to help you achieve your mission online and we can’t do that without listening to you tell us about your biggest challenges and how we can help address them.
What do you think about “The Big Insight?”

Sounds like your survey offered some great insights! I like "Not '100 things you can do better,' but 'The 3 things that will make the biggest difference.'" The classic "not quantity, but quality" credo. 🙂
True. Thanks Kevin!
