I recommend basing your decision on these 6 criteria:
- What is their mission?
- Do they understand your organization?
- How long have they been in business?
- What are the other customers saying about them?
- How responsive are they?
- Ask for examples of their previous work.
Eventually you’re also going to want to get a quote or proposal before hiring a web design company. However, there’s no point even asking for a quote, if you have serious questions about whether they can deliver a quality website that will help you accomplish your mission and will be around long term to support you.
