Tim Schmoyer, author of the blog, Life In Student Ministry, and a book published by the same title, entered the YouTube NextUp contest and is now a semi-finalist! To make it to the next round, he needs as many votes as he can get!
You can vote once a day until Friday, April 8.
He’s pushing the Youth Questions channel where he and other youth workers answer teenagers’ questions about the hard stuff they’re going through in life. In the past two weeks, I’ve discussed heavy questions from teens about depression, bullying, and cutting and suicide in this upcoming week’s video.
If Tim makes it to be one of the top 25 contestants, he gets:
- $35,000 in funding to produce a new project, purchase new tools and advance the Youth Questions YouTube audience.
- A spot at a four-day YouTube Creator Camp in which he’ll benefit from one-on-one mentoring and learn an array of production techniques from leading industry and YouTube experts.
- Site-wide promotion of his final work and channel across YouTube.
This could be an amazing opportunity for helping so many teenagers hear Godly voices and influences about the real issues they’re experiencing every day.
Check out the Youth Questions channel on YouTube at YouTube.com/YouthQuestions.
Please vote every day until April 8th and hopefully we can help Tim and other youth workers bring a Christ-centered message to impact teens all over the world through online video! Utilize your social networks to help spread the word and encourage others to vote, too!
And remember, you can vote every day until Friday, April 8!
