New Social Video Site yesHEis Makes Sharing Your Faith Super Easy
yesHEis is a new social video site created to make it easier to share their faith and facilitate spiritual conversations online.
The site does not contain any original video content. Instead it contains a growing collection of videos that have been uploaded to YouTube and Vimeo, submitted to yesHEis, reviewed and verified to be quality evangelistic videos. The videos have been categorized into relatable topics such as feelings, belief, struggles, career, interests, health and inspiration.
Info on the site says it’s not intended to be a destination, but rather a tool to help Christians find and share video content.
How does it work?
Say you’re a Christian and have a particular interest like football. Go to yesHEis, search for football, and you’ll find videos related to football and the gospel, perhaps a football player giving his testimony. Then you can share that on Facebook, Twitter or your blog.
Or, say you have a friend who’s struggling with guilt. Go to yesHEis, search for guilt, and you’ll find videos related to guilt and grace which you can share with your friend.
Even though the videos themselves are on YouTube and Vimeo, if you try searching those sites for videos like this, you’ll have to sort through dozens of unrelated before you find what you’re looking for (if you ever do.)
There’s a mobile version of the site available and mobile apps are being developed so you’ll never be more than a few seconds away from having a great video you can share with a friend or someone you’ve just struck up a conversation with.
There aren’t a lot of videos on the site, right now, but the ones that are there are very good.
I think the concept has great potential, especially when you consider how many churches, ministries, and independent artists are creating high-quality videos these days.
Thanks to Tony at Digital Evangelism Issues for blogging about this first.
