One of the most important thing you can do for your website or blog is to set up some sort of stats or analytics and review them on a regular basis, at least once a month. I thought a fun way to encourage my fellow web admins and bloggers to do that would be to ask this question…
What are the most bizarre search keywords that people used to find your site last month?
I checked the analytics for Christian Web Trends and here are 4 odd phrases that jumped out at me:
- why they invite trains
- elevator 1b teacher s book
- pakistain free online datings site
- sneeze
How ’bout you? What were the funniest, craziest, or strangest search phrases that turned up in your analytics/stats last month?
What else did you learn by reviewing your analytics?

zametalov – Got this one on analytics for my blog page. The rest were pretty normal.
so why do they? invite trains? lol
I couldn't find any strange ones like that
Sometimes just for kicks I'll google the strange phrases that show up in our analytics. For example this post is #2 for "why they invite trains"

Not exactly a phrase we were targeting. 🙂 But, whatever.
I can't use analytics because WordPress doesn't allow it for my blog but I do use Webmaster Tools through Google. A few of my top three keywords are blog, church, and community. Meaning that I need to use these words more in my posts since that's what people are searching for.

My best phrase that got someone to my church site this last month was "church of the holy radiator"! http://www.newcovenantgj.org/
LOL! That's funny.
No key words were used to reach my site this month! Humm… I'm not sure what that tells me!
