Jon Acuff, author of the popular blog Stuff Christian’s Like and a new book of the same name, has a guest post on Christianity Today’s Out of Ur blog titled To Tweet, or not to Tweet?

Twitter is a very polarizing tool Most people either love it or hate it. Those who hate it just think it’s a pointless waste of time. Those who love it will give you a million reasons why you should use Twitter without mentioning the downsides.

What I like about Jon’s post is he looks at both sides.

He gives 3 reasons you should be on Twitter and 3 reasons you should not be on Twitter. You can read the full article to find out what those are.

Which best describes your organization's approach to assessing the value/ROI of social media?

We diligently track the source of all sales/goals so we know what social media is producing.
We look at trends. If our use of social media correlates with an increase in our sales/goals that indicates it's value.
You can't put a dollar value on relationships and so we don't try to assess the value/ROI of social media.
We're doing some tracking of the source of sales/goals, so we have some numbers, but we also recognize there's more to the value of social media than those numbers.
