If you’re a Twitter user who is giving Google Buzz a spin, chances are you’re not going to want to manually post the same updates to both sites.
Fortunately, it’s possible to set up your tweets to be automatically imported into Google Buzz.
Here are step-by-step instructions to do that.
Importing from Twitter to Google Buzz
1) Go into Google Buzz and click on the “Connected Sites” link (shown below)
2) In the window that pops up (see below), you’ll see an option for Twitter, click the “Add” button next to it.
3) Enter your Twitter username & click the “Connect” Button.
4) Be sure to click the “Save” button at the bottom of the “Connected Sites” window.
People are reporting a delay between the time a tweet is posted to Twitter and it’s imported into Buzz of anywhere from a couple minutes to over an hour.
If you prefer, another option is to do the opposite and export your Google Buzz into Twitter. Just don’t do both or you’ll create an infinite loop.
If you follow these instructions, please give us some feedback. Did everything work as expected? How long did it take from when you completed the instructions until your tweets started showing up in Google Buzz?

Hi Paul,
Thank you for posting this. Great post, you've explained very clear what i have allready done, hence this article describes how to connect Twitter to GoogleBuzz. I expected this article to explain how to "import" all tweets to GoogleBuzz.

buzz not updating even after hours since i tweeted
Will thanks for the feedback. I'm experiencing huge delays as well – then, bam, all my tweets from the last several hours get imported at once. I'm hearing the same thing from lots of other people too.
Great stuff Paul. For some reason I'm having problems saving the twitter changes. Worked perfectly for blogger. Anyway would provide a link to my blog. Thanks.
Hmmm, your the first person I've heard report that. Maybe refresh and try again? Hope you get it working.
does your twitter account have to be public before it works? I have mine set to private, only for my approved followers.
You don't have to authenticate or login to your Twitter account when setting it up with Google Buzz, so I assume you have to have your Twitter feed public for Buzz to have access to your tweets.
Try praying, I hear that works wonders.
Thanks for the tips, however I have done this a couple of days now and it is a complete pain! Twitter to Buzz indeed goes automatically as soon as you add Twitter to your Google profile, BUT it exports your tweets only once or twice a day. For example all my tweets from yesterday were imported into Buzz today at 7:51am.
What works much better is to export your Buzz into Twitter. My preferred service is dlvr.it, fast and reliable. You need an invite for that, but they send you that within 2mins.
Having both indeed creates an infinite loop, although I believe it stops after 3 times going back and forth 🙂
So now I would like not to show tweets on my Buzz, but then I have to delete Twitter from my Google profile…
I guess someone needs to come up with an app for this 🙂
To stop importing tweets into Buzz, just go back into your connected sites and remove your Twitter profile. I wrote instructions for exporting Buzz into Twitter. There's a link to it in this post but for your convenience…

I tried it out: Twitter import to Buzz and it came through after one minute however the shortened link was not displayed properly. So at the moment it is not useful for me as I surely shorten all links in twitter and it does not worse for me to just update Buzz. So Google need to spend some over time on this issue …
