		<description>It was the later, but I am all for prevention of spam.  For someone who has little experience in web stuff, it seems that software like phpBB has regular holes that are exposed.  It is not quite the same as monitoring a few comments.  For a non-techie, I think forums can seem quite daunting.

I am just interested in some of the practical issues as well as social reasons for forums.</description>
