February is Blogs Month at OurChurch.Com. A blog is one of the best ways to attract new visitors and links to your website. So, all this month we’re focusing on helping businesses, ministries, and individuals develop, improve, and promote blogs. We’ll be blogging about bloging and doing some extra things here on the Christian Web Trends blog including the celebration of its first birthday. In this article…
- Christian Web Trends survey
- Blogs discussion
- Do you blog?
- Christian Web Trends Award
Your Opinion Matters
Because Christian Web Trends has been online for about a year now, we thought this would be a great time to get your feedback. Please complete the survey and share your opinion as to how we’re doing and what we could do to make this blog better in the future.

We’ll post the results later in the month.
Blogs Discussion
We’ve started a discussion in our forums on blogs so we can hear more about what you need to start, improve, or promote your blog and to exchange blogging ideas. What are the biggest challenges you face? What do you write about or want to write about? What insight do you have to share with other bloggers? If you’re interested in learning more about blogging or interested in helping other people become better bloggers, check out the Blogs Discussion in the OurChurch.Com Christian Forums.
Do you blog?
If you blog and host a website at OurChurch.Com, send the name of your blog, a link to your blog, and a link to your OCC website, and we will post a link to it on the Blogs Month page and include a link in our monthly webmaster newsletter. Please send that info to our help desk. If you blog but don’t host a website at OCC, you’re not eligible for a link on Blogs Month page or webmaster newsletter, but we will give you a chance to tell all our readers about your blog later this month, so stay tuned.
Christian Web Trends Awards
In the first year of this blog, not every article has been a homerun, but there have been some that were interesting, useful, and even controversial. Likewise there have been some interesting comments and commenters. As we look back at the last year, we’re taking nominees for the first annual CWT Awards.
- What was your favorite article of the past year?
- Which was the worst?
- Most controversial?
- What was the best resource or article linked to?
- What was the best comment posted?
- Who was the best commenter?
Got any other categories we should add? Post your nominees in the comments today!

I still don’t understand what a blog is or what it is for, can you enlighten me.
I WILL LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT BLOG. I DON’T REALLY UNDERSTAND IT(BLOG).
I’m working on an introduction to blogs article which will be published tomorrow (Thursday). In the mean time, as mentioned in the blog article above you might want to check out the discussion about blogs that’s going on in our forums:

I have read blogs but really don’t know how to set one up or what to discuss. How do people know about the blog? I am really interested in how to do this.
